We are please to announce that the 7th edition of Heart Failure International Forum – „From concepts to clinical practice ” will take place during June 9-10, 2023, in Bucharest! The scientific program will present the essential messages of the most recent studies about: heart failure as a distinct clinical entity, implementation of HF therapies: from benefits to real practice, heart failure management: comorbidities, valvular heart disease and heart failure, and many other very interesting topics. A panel of highly experienced and well-recognized opinion leaders from Europe and Romania will provide the frame of the course.
As the tradition of this scientific event has us, among the lectures we will find in the scientific program, many clinical cases with interactive Q&A sessions, with the possibility of electronic voting, before and after each question.

Dr. Laura Antohi is a Clinical Cardiologist in the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases “C.C.Iliescu” in Bucharest, Romania, working on the intensive cardiac care unit, ever since finishing her residency. She is currently a PhD student, with the main area of research being the evaluation of hemodynamics in heart failure patients. Also, she is alumni of the 3rd Postgraduate Course in Heart Failure organized by the University of Zurich and the Heart Failure Association of European Society of Cardiology and has received a Master’s Degree on "Global Research Training Program in Drug Development for Heart Failure” from the University of Brescia, having prof. M. Gheorghiade as course director. She has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications, mainly regarding the epidemiology, hemodynamics and areas of uncertainty in the current management of acute and chronic heart failure, in journals including the European Journal of Heart Failure.

Dan Gaita is Board Member of European Society of Cardiology, Board Member of European Heart Network and Vice President of Romanian Society of Cardiology.
He is the Chief of Cardiology Clinic within Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases Timisoara, Romania.
His long term commitment in the field of Cardiovascular prevention is reflected in international positions and pioneering activities:

Prof. Dr. Mullens received his degree in Cardiology as well as Cardiac Rehabilitation in Belgium in 2005, and graduated as advanced fellow in Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation (2007) and Electrical Therapies for Heart Failure (2008) at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, United States of America. He also received the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the Technical University Eindhoven, the Netherlands in 2009. Actually, he is working as a staff Cardiologist in the Hospital Oost-Limburg Genk, Belgium and also as Associate Professor in the School of Medicine and Life Sciences of University Hasselt, Belgium. He is Heart Failure clinician with a strong commitment to translational research translating new mechanistic insights into answering questions of clinical interest. Main research topics are cardiac resynchronization therapy as well as the cardiorenal interactions with more than 250 peer reviewed publications. He has been president of the Belgian Working Group on Heart Failure and serving as board member of European Heart Failure Association (HFA).
